We are a small professional practice specialising in property damage insurance claims together with many aspects of building surveying. We also undertake architectural design and drawing of plans for new build projects as well as extensions, loft conversions and other property alterations. We remain committed to providing a first class customer service.
Who we are
Our principal surveyor Stephen Cross is a Chartered Building Surveyor, Chartered Insurance Practitioner and Construction Health & Safety professional. He is proficient and experienced at handling both household and commercial buildings claims ranging in value from £2.5k to £20m, including high net worth, major and complex loss and real estate.
Stephen has 30 years experience handling buildings damage claims for both loss adjusters and a large blue chip composite insurer. This has included overseeing the technical, strategic and financial performance of household and commercial claims. He has also led and managed a team of chartered surveyors, and chartered engineers including support staff.
His claims career began in 1990 with loss adjusting at Robins, moving to Cunningham Lindsey in 1996 and, after a brief spell in a private surveying practice, re-entered the insurance indusry by joining Royal & Sun Alliance (RSA) in 2000. At RSA he performed the roles of loss adjuster, Technical Building Expert and Head Office Technical Consultant. He joined Vericlaim, now Sedgwick International UK in November 2017 after an eighteen month role as a surveyor at Crawford and Company.
Stephen also has extensive experience of providing a range of architectural design services to all types of domestic and residential property and is able to provide effective management of the design process to present innovative solutions from first inception through to completion.
